Question: I just want to know that the prp will work for me and how much will cost me thank you
Answer: Hi, Gulbaz. We do not offer Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy at Belgravia as, at the present time (February 2016) PRP has not yet been proven to have any beneficial effect on genetic hair loss, that is to say Male Pattern Baldness in men or Female Hair Loss in women.
Separate clinical trials are currently taking place in both New York and in Barcelona; they are investigating whether PRP may be safe and useful as an add on to existing hair loss treatment courses featuring clinically-proven, MHRA and FDA approved components, as well as whether this procedure shows any merit in treating thinning hair on its own.
For now, if you are looking for a solution that will help to stabilise any hereditary shedding and promote regrowth, there are two key treatments that are both MHRA licensed and FDA approved for this purpose.
There are also a number of additional hair growth supporting products which can be recommended by a hair loss specialist to fit in with your personalised treatment plan. This category of product is supplementary to the established medications and is how we would class PRP at present, although the non-invasive follicle-stimulating LaserComb device is FDA-cleared plus far more convenient and easier to use yourself at home than having regular injection sessions.
