Will I See Regrowth After Days of Using Hair Loss Treatment?'

Question: I have started using hair loss treatment 8 days ago. I am sure I can see a difference already. Is that possible? Could I have to shorten my treatment plan if it is working so quickly?

Answer: Hi, Shanika. Eight days is a very short time in which to see genuine results.

Depending on your hair loss condition and level of shedding, it usually takes between three to four months to see a significant difference. There are a number of stages of regrowth that tend to occur over the course of a treatment plan - including an initial shedding period in some people - from stabilisation, where further hair loss is prevented, to visible regrowth. However, it is unlikely that any of these have taken place within such a short amount of time.

This is not to say that you are imagining the difference to your hair; whilst it could be a placebo effect, another reason behind any noticeable changes could be that the hair loss treatment you are using has had a volumising effect on your hair. This would cause it to look thicker although purely in a cosmetic way.

Whilst this is good and a positive effect to enjoy whilst the treatment itself gets to work on actively addressing your thinning hair, it does not mean that you should shorten the duration of her treatment. You do not mention which treatment you are using and whether you are a Belgravia client but following the initial advice regarding timelines (generally a minimum of six months) is always recommended.
