*Upping your spinach intake can stop you from going bald and grey. A study by Cleveland clinic in the US found low iron levels speed up hair loss. "Cells use iron to turn food into energy and it takes a lot of energy to grow hair," says lead author Dr. Leonid Benjamin Trost. Two separate studies published by Temple University, Philadelphia, and one in the Journal of Health Science found grey hair can be caused by a diet lacking in iron, copper and magnesium.

Popeye Spinach Hair LossYou can get all these in spinach. One 180g bag of the green stuff will give you 85% of your RDA of magnesium, 35% of your iron and 20% of your copper. Lightly steam it and serve with a squirt of lemon juice. Much tastier than a tube of hair ointment.

Ensuring your diet is balanced and high in nutrients is an important factor for one's general health and quality and vitality of the hair. Unfortunately some men and women are destined to lose their hair and whatever you eat is not going to change that, I think Popeye is proof of that! There are however proven preventative treatments that will stop the process of hair loss for most men and women that come into this category.
