Signed Manchester City Shirt Auction For Boy's Hair Loss Charity

The children's hair loss charity, Little Princess Trust is fairly well-known in the UK. Indeed, it has received high profile support from a number of celebrities including the singer Jessie J and actor and former One Direction star, Harry Styles. But there is one key misconception about the organisation which it is working hard to remedy...

Little Princess Trust provides free real hair wigs to children with hairloss, often caused as a result of cancer treatment or from the autoimmune disorder Alopecia Areata. However, it does not only support young girls. The charity also provides specially-styled wigs to boys too, and recently relaunched the male arm of its charity, Hero by LPT.

This fantastic endeavour has the support of current Premier League leaders, Manchester City football team who have kindly donated a signed Sergio Aguero shirt to help the charity raise money.

Raising money and accepting hair donations

A number 10 "Kun Aguero" Manchester City home shirt, signed by the forward and his teammates, is currently being auctioned by Brightwells.

The auction is open for bids now and closes at 6pm on Sunday 17th December 2017. For anyone interested in bidding, the shirt is lot number 2002.

It is hoped that this generous donation will raise significant funds for the charity which relies on donations to carry out its confidence-boosting work. Many adult men who are gradually losing their hair to male pattern baldness often find it difficult to deal with and can experience a knock to their self-esteem. Losing your hair as a child - often suddenly, and at an age where fitting in or at least not standing out seems so important - is even harder.

This is why the opportunity to have a free wig to wear, made from hair donated to the charity by people who often grow their hair intentionally, can help to bring a bit of normalcy to these children, as well as helping to restore their confidence. And it's such a simple process too.
