Should Cristiano Ronaldo Be Taking A Shot At His Hair Loss?

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo made the headlines this week as he ruled out an imminent return to Man United, despite saying that the club was “still in his heart”. The Portuguese player also attended a charity gala in Monaco on Thursday, and was pictured looking very tanned with his hair in its usual spiky style.

We have previously written on the blog about how Ronaldo seems very preoccupied with his hairdo, once even changing it halfway through a match, so we’re sure the world-class star would want to catch hair loss as soon as it began in order to treat it before his thinning edges became noticeable.

A Hair Loss Own Goal?

The beginnings of a receding hairline is a common first indicator of hair loss, and nipping it in the bud with a proven hair loss treatment programme enables young patients like Cristiano to address their hair loss. Ronaldo can even potentially regrow the thinning area in the forthcoming months by adding a few quick steps to his daily hair routine.

There are two medications that have been licensed by the MHRA and approved by the FDA for use as a means to treat male pattern hair loss. The first of these is minoxidil, a topical treatment that is applied to the scalp twice a day, in a dosage selected by a dedicated hair loss specialist.

In order to treat a receding hairline, Belgravia offer a number of high strength minoxidil products which can be easily applied directly to the scalp in just seconds. This approach has achieved excellent results, even for men who have tried other formulations to no avail.

Minoxidil works well when combined with the second proven medication, Propecia (finasteride 1mg). This daily tablet is a DHT blocker, DHT being the androgen hormone that causes pattern hair loss by damaging hair follicles atop the scalp, leading to thinner hair being produced. By using Propecia and minoxidil together, the cause of the hair loss is blocked and the follicles are stimulated to begin producing thick, healthy hair once again.

For a man like Ronaldo who clearly takes great pride in his hair, Belgravia provide comprehensive hair loss treatment programmes that include the medications alongside a variety of treatment boosters, which ensure that hair is kept in its optimum condition and regrowth occurs as quickly as possible.

Treatment boosters range from added ingredients that appear to block DHT when applied locally, to the FDA cleared LaserComb which can be used at home to optimise hair regrowth. A hair loss specialist will also select the ideal shampoos and conditioners for the patient’s scalp type, creating a truly bespoke treatment regime.
