Prince William’s hairline has been the subject of almost as much media attention as his wedding to Kate Middleton, but he has as yet apparently opted to do nothing about it and is letting nature take its course.
Now, none other than the Queen’s own hairdresser has voiced his opinions on the matter. According to the Daily Express, Ian Carmichael told the newspaper at a charity birthday party that he believes the future King should invest in hair loss treatment.
“I know he doesn’t want to because he thinks people would criticise him for it,” the hairdresser told the newspaper, “but there’s really no shame in it.”
A royal case of Male Pattern Baldness
Like his father, Prince Charles, and his uncle, Prince Edward, Prince William suffers from the hereditary hair loss condition Male Pattern Baldness. In Prince William’s case, the genetic hair loss seems to have been inherited from his father’s side, but the condition can be passed on through either the paternal or maternal lines.
Like many men, the Prince started to suffer from hair loss in his early twenties and it has continued to thin at a rapid pace since then.
Mr Carmichael believes that the Prince should have done something about his increasing baldness long ago. He told the Express: “William should have started the process a while ago…”
What kind of hair loss treatment could Prince William have?
There are a number of viable approaches which could prevent the Prince’s hair loss and even help to re-grow the hair already lost.
Pharmaceutical hair loss treatments are cost effective and scientifically proven to work. At The Belgravia Centre we use Propecia and Minoxidil to treat Male Pattern Baldness, with which we have experienced great success, as the before and after photographs on our website will testify. Both treatments are licensed by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in the UK and approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the US for the treatment of Genetic Hair Loss. They have been shown to prevent hair loss and promote re-growth in scientific studies. Our hair loss experts assess each individual case of hair loss to determine the right dosages to use, and these are prepared in our in-house pharmacy.
However, we do not rely solely on these pharmaceutical methods to treat hair loss. We also use a wide range of clinical and support treatments, such as LaserCombs and nutritional supplements as needed by the individual. We aim to develop a personally tailored approach which uses all the available tools to produce optimum results, and our hair loss experts closely monitor every client to ensure optimum results.
So, Prince William, if you’re reading this, why not give us a try? If you’re not Prince William and you’re reading this, that’s OK too: you don’t have to be royalty to afford our treatments.
If you’re suffering from Male Pattern Baldness or any other form of hair loss, contact The Belgravia Centre for a free consultation, or take a few moments to fill in our online diagnostic form to receive a home-use treatment programme. This can be posted anywhere in the world.
