‘Minoxidil Application Doesn't Cover All Areas of Hair Loss?'

Question: When you apply the liquid onto your scalp with the syringe, are you supposed to rub the head with your hand after to make a uniform coating of the product on your scalp? Because if not, I bet that with such a little amount (1 ml), some area of the scalp might not receive any Minoxidil?

Answer: Hi, Seb. I have been a Belgravia hair loss treatment user for more than 10 years. I never rub the high strength minoxidil liquid onto my scalp.

Once I apply the minoxidil with the syringe - with my head tipped slightly backwards - I move my head from side to side, so gravity guides the liquid around my scalp.

The problem with rubbing liquid minoxidil into the scalp is that some will be lost on the fingers and it is also likely that some will be absorbed into the hair, depending on how much hair you have.

Minoxidil does not need to be spread over the whole scalp in order to treat hair loss effectively; just try your best to apply it as evenly as possible. Once it is absorbed into the skin, the capillaries will spread it around. If you feel like one area has not been sufficiently covered on one application, just make sure you ensure that area is properly covered on the next application - do not over-use the medication.
