Oscar winning actor Jack Nicholson hit the papers again last week for his ‘bad boy’ behaviour. Peter Evans wrote in the Daily Mail that he was recently offered a joint by Nicholson while in men’s room at Claridges. Evans, who claims he has partied with many hell-raisers in his time, said that Nicholson was “still boyish-looking – although his hair was already a little thin on top”.
Perhaps Jack’s relaxed approach to life and his general ‘joie de vivre’ have help the actor avoid total baldness, or perhaps he has used hair loss treatments. Either way, for a 72-year-old who has lived the life he has, his hair is not looking too bad.
But does Jack care about his receding hair line? It didn’t seem to matter last week, as the bad boy of Hollywood danced the night away with a group of young pretty women while aboard a yacht on the French Riviera.
Indeed, Nicholson is famous for his way with the ladies, wooing many beautiful women in his time. He has been linked to many actresses and models including Michelle Phillips, Bebe Buell and Lara Flynn Boyle. From 1973 to 1989 he had his longest relationship with actress Anjelica Huston. That relationship ended when the media reported that actress and model, Rebecca Broussard, had become pregnant with his child. Nicholson had two children with Broussard, a child with actress Sandra Knight and another child with actress Winnie Hollman. Actress Susan Anspach says Nicholson is also the father of her son, but he has not publicly made a statement about this.
Despite the many partners and children, Evans thinks Jack’s attitude to life is a good thing “in this world of newfangled celebrity tofu diets and exercise regimes” and that Jack is a reminder of a “golden age of bad behavior”.
That said, Jack did indicate he may be looking for something more. Evans says the star told a mutual friend, “’I’ve balled everybody, taken all the drugs, been everywhere. Now I’m looking for something valid”. He even showed some humility when he said recently, “In my sunglasses, I’m Jack Nicholson. Without them, I’m fat and 72”.
So will Jack start treating his body like a temple and quit the smoking, the booze and the flings? Perhaps not, but if he does decide to lose the belly and gain some hair, he could consider hair loss treatments for the latter. There are only two that have been scientifically proven to be effective in promoting hair growth. These are Minoxidil and Propecia and they work best when used as part of a tailored treatment programme with Hair Growth Boosters.
