Question: Hi there. I`m a 33 year-old European female, I started losing hair a couple of months ago since I started laser hair removal treatment. It`s not too bad yet but if it`s gonna carry on like this it will be bad. Do you think there is any connection between the laser treatment and the hair loss on my head or could it be something else? What`s the best thing to do to stop losing my hair?
Answer: There is no connection between laser hair removal and hair loss. There are no known links between these procedures with hair loss. Your hair loss may be due to another reason that requires investigation. Possible causes of hair loss for women of your age are Female Pattern Hair Loss, Diffuse Thinning or Telogen Effluvium. The first two are treatable and Telogen Effluvium is usually temporary(more information can be found by clicking on the link).
