Minoxidil DropperQuestion: Should I shampoo my hair every time before the application(I apply it twice daily) of Minoxidil? I massage it on my scalp: is this a wrong way of applying it? Should I not use my finger to spread it?

Answer: Hi Roxy, You can use your fingertips but we generally advise clients to let the minoxidil soak into the scalp by applying it using the dropper and tipping back then slowly moving your head, so that the scalp absorbs as much of the solution as possible.

This 'touch' - with the minoxidil dropper - and 'tap' - with your finger on the dropper so that the liquid falls onto your scalp into the direction you want it to go, before you move your head to ensure it moves from front to back, or vice versa, is Belgravia's preferred method of application.

If you do use your fingertips to apply your hair loss treatment, make sure you are quick and use a gentle touch, then wash your hands straight away afterwards. Do not massage the minoxidil into your scalp - let it sit covering the areas of the scalp where it is required and absorb in.

You do not need to shampoo your hair before you apply your minoxidil each time.
