Hollywood star Naomi Watts helps promote hair loss charity

Naomi Watts The Belgravia Centre

Known for her immaculate appearance both on and off-screen, actress Naomi Watts has spoken about the importance of hair to women in general. Interviewed to promote the Look Good…Feel Better charity for women who have lost their hair as a result of cancer treatment, Watts said, “We place a lot of importance on our hair, from the playground [onwards].”

Talking to radio presenters Kyle and Jackie O on Australian radio, Watts went on to say, “We're always like, 'Mine's longer!', 'Mine's shinier!' Our whole identity is about our hair sometimes; for men too.”

Watts admits to wearing wigs

Although Watts herself does not seem to have experienced any form of hair loss personally, she does claim to have a large collection of wigs and hairpieces accumulated during her career as an actress. Contactmusic.com once quoted Watts as saying, “If my bathroom cabinet was on fire, I'd make a beeline for my wig collection. Seriously. They're the only valuable things in there, some cost thousands. You never know when you might need one for a job.”

Hair loss and lost self-confidence

Women the world over will identify with Watts’ observation relating the importance of healthy hair and self-confidence. Previous studies have shown that 96% of women believe their hair is directly related to their own beauty.

Hair regrowth and regrown self-confidence

Here at The Belgravia Centre we have helped hundreds of women who have lost hair for a variety of reasons. Our archives are full of success stories detailing individual experiences of our personalised treatment plans, which have not only seen restored hairlines, but also a corresponding rise in self-confidence and self-esteem.

Permanent results, permanent benefits

Hair extensions and weaves are often seen as ‘cures’ for hair loss, but what many people do not realize is that they can actually exacerbate the situation in the long run. Constant use of hair enhancements can damage the existing hair follicles and cause a condition known as Traction Alopecia.

The Belgravia Centre uses clinically proven medications to promote natural, permanent hair regrowth. The specific needs of each client are carefully considered to create a custom hair loss treatment plan, intended to provide the optimum conditions required for hair to begin growing again.

Our treatment methods also involve additional therapies including the FDA-cleared Laser Comb and our proprietary dietary supplement, Hair Vitalics. Depending on the specific causes of hair loss, clients may also be prescribed one of the Belgravia’s minoxidil formulations which combine Caffeine and Azelaic Acid, or MPG to further stimulate the scalp and hair follicles for superior growth results.

Solutions for Women and Men

Hair loss and self-confidence are uniquely linked in both men and women, as stated by Naomi Watts.
