Mibz yousaf

Hi there i started looseing my hair at the age of 20 im now 33 yrs old whats the chances of a succesfull treatment and what kind of result would i expect ive lost half of my hair from the top . And i would like to know if i could use donor hair so i dont loose any more hair of mine. Thank you

It’s very common for men to start losing their hair in their early twenties. In fact, most of Belgravia’s clients are between the ages of 20 and 35 or so. The top of the head is where most men start to thin first and if you’ve still got half your hair, it’s very likely you’ll be able to re-grow some of the hair you’ve lost and stop any further loss. My advice would be to give treatment a go before even considering a hair transplant to see how well it works. And about donor hair - if you have a hair transplant it would be taken from another part of your scalp so there's no way of avoiding losing hair from another area.

I'm a female, black African and have enjoyed great hair in the past. I got hair loss later due to chemical treatment/products and sometime due to excessive heat and dryness,. I've also noticed scalp problem as some patches of barely no hair have appeared. Do you consult in Milton Keynes? if yes, where and what are the opening hours?

18th June, 2009 at 3:33 pm

Hi Farida, We do not have any consultation dates for Milton Keynes as it’s not too far from our centre in Victoria. If you’re able, we could arrange an appointment for you at the centre any day of the week. Only one consultation is necessary and it would take 30-40 minutes. Any treatment that is ordered can be posted to your home in Milton Keynes (in a plain package). Contact us if you'd like to book an appointment or simply complete the online diagnostic form. The information you provide will allow our specialists to assess your condition and then recommend a suitable treatment course. A photo will also help to confirm the area of hair loss as well as the severity. You'll be contacted shortly after submitting the form with the results and recommendations.

26th June, 2009 at 1:42 pm

Hi Rizwan, We do not currently have any dates available for consultations in the Midlands until later on in the year but there are still alternative ways that you can benefit from one of our treatment courses for hair loss. You could arrange a consultation at our London centre. Only one 30-40 minute consultation is necessary and any treatment that is ordered can be posted to your home in the Midlands (in a plain package). Alternatively, you could fill in our online diagnostic form and a treatment advisor will contact you to discuss your results and treatment options with you. If you would prefer to wait until one of our next consultation days in the Midlands, just let us know and we’ll contact you when we arrange our future dates but we advise that you take action as soon as possible in order to avoid further hair loss.

Hi there. I`m a 33 year old European female. I started losing hair a couple of months ago since I started laser hair removal treatment. It`s not too bad yet but if it`s gonna carry on like this it will be bad. Do you think there is any connection between the laser treatment and the hair loss on my head or could it be something else? What`s the best thing to do to stop losing my hair?

16th September, 2009 at 8:42 am

Hi Edit, Thankyou for your question. There is no connection between laser hair removal and hair loss. There are no known links between these procedures with hair loss. Your hair loss may be due to another reason that requires investigation. Possible causes of hair loss for women of your age are Female Pattern Hair Loss, Diffuse Thinning or Telogen Effluvium. The first two are treatable and Telogen Effluvium is usually temporary(more information can be found by clicking on the link). It is best if you come in for a consultation with a hair loss specialist who can diagnose the condition and offer you advice on how to stop further hair loss. We may be able to put you on a hair loss treatment programme to restore the hair you have lost. Consultations with The Belgravia Centre are free. To book an appointment, please call 020 7730 6666 or message the centre. Alternatively, for a consultation via the website, please complete the online diagnostic form and submit a photograph of the affected area.

Hi Johny, There are two ways in which chemical treatments such as perms and relaxants can cause hair loss. However, it would appear that there is more to your condition than meets the eye. You will find more information here - Can Chemical Perms or Relaxers Cause Hair Loss? Unfortunately we don’t have any dates coming up where The Belgravia Centre will be visiting Newcastle. However, you can still take advantage of our services via the Online Consultation Service. The form you submit will allow our specialists to make an assessment based on your medical and family background, lifestyle and other environmental factors. Attaching a photo of the area and degree of hair loss will further help to confirm the analysis. From there you will be contacted by The Belgravia Centre to discuss your results and recommendations.
