| Tricomin
Each hair has two main stages – the active (growing) stage which lasts between two to seven years, and the resting stage which lasts for around 3 months. Around 85% of all the hairs on ones head will be active at any one time. Unlike Propecia or Minoxidil, Tricomin thickens up the appearance of the hair by using copper peptides to shorten the resting phase of the follicle, causing a greater number of follicles to be active at any given time.
Aside from Minoxidil and Propecia, Tricomin is the only treatment that has stimulated hair growth in partial FDA trials. In Phase II clinical studies, Tricomin had positive results on some of the 36 men who applied the treatment topically twice a day for 24 weeks.
As Tricomin does not actually prevent or decrease the rate of hair loss, but just temporarily thickens the appearance of the hair of those experiencing hair loss, it is advised that Tricomin is used alongside one or more of the FDA approved treatments as part of a full treatment course, as the hair will continue to shed and thin whilst using the Tricomin. |
