Vitamin C (100 mg per tablet):
Also known as ascorbic acid, vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin and blood vessels. Vitamin C contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and increases iron absorption.
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine, 10 mg per tablet):
Vitamin B6 is a water soluble vitamin. It contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and normal psychological function.
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol, 20 micrograms per tablet):
Vitamin D has a role in the process of cell division and contributes to normal functioning of the immune system.
Folic Acid (folate, 400 micrograms):
Folic acid is a form of water soluble B vitamins. Folate has a role in the process of cell division and contributes to normal blood formation and functioning of the immune system. It is required to make DNA and RNA which are nucleic acids and essential for all known forms of life.
Biotin (200 micrograms):
An enzyme cofactor which contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism. It assists in the release of energy from carbohydrates. Biotin is active in many enzyme systems in the body. Biotin is necessary for the production of normal skin and scalp secretions and for the maintenance of normal hair and skin.
Iodine (100 micrgrams):
Iodine contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function. It also contributes to the maintenance of normal skin.
Iron (20 mg):
An essential mineral and an important component of proteins. Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin and contributes to normal oxygen transport in the body. Iron has a role in the process of cell division.
Copper (500 micrograms):
Copper contributes to normal functioning of the nervous system and normal hair pigmentation. The cupro enzyme tyrosinase plays a role in the pigmentation of hair and skin.
Zinc (10 mg):
Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and nails. It contributes to normal protein synthesis and to the normal function of the immune system. It may protect cells from oxidative stress and has a role in cell division. Zinc can contribute to the maintenance of normal skin on the scalp.
Selenium (50 micrograms):
Selenium is a trace element that plays an important role in the function of our immune system. It also helps prevent damage to cells and tissues. Selenium contributes to the maintenance of normal hair.
Silica (silicon dioxide, 12 mg):
Silica is a trace mineral. It is responsible for cross-linking collagen strands which contributes to the strength, integrity, and flexibility of connective tissues such as those found in skin, bones, nails, and arteries. Silicon is also important for the growth of hair, skin and fingernails.
L-Methionine (100 mg):
This is an essential sulphur amino acid. The body cannot produce L-Methionine which therefore must be obtained from food or supplement sources. It is a principle source of sulphur and is involved in the body’s synthesis of L-Cysteine, which is a building block of proteins.
L-Cysteine (50 mg):
A sulphur containing amino acid and an important structural and functional component of proteins and enzymes. It is a building block of protein that are used throughout the body. Hair keratin consists of up to 14% of cysteine.
Grape Seed Extract (proanthocyanidins, 8 mg):
Grape seed extract, also known as condensed tannins, are very powerful antioxidants that remove harmful free oxygen radicals from cells. Studies have shown that proanthocyanidins help protect the body from UV rays damage, improve flexibility in joints, arteries, and body tissues such as the heart, and improve blood circulation by strengthening capillaries, arteries and veins.
Soy Isoflavone: (genistein and daidzein, 24mg)
Isoflavones are a class of phytoestrogens- plant derived compounds with oestrogenic activity. Soy products are the richest source of Isoflavones in the human diet. Research shows that Soy Isoflavones can reduce serum DHT.
Methynylsulfonylmethane (MSM, 150 mg):
MSM is a naturally occurring nutrient. Sulphur is a component of many substances in the body such as amino acids, keratin and collagen. Keratin is a structural component of hair and nails. MSM can be used as a source of sulphur.
Gingko Biloba (60 mg):
Ginkgo, a dioecious tree is one of the oldest living tree species. The leaves contain flavonoids and terpenoids which are both antioxidants and may fight off free radicals and stop them from damaging DNA and other cells. Ginkgo has the ability to enhance cerebral and peripheral circulation and may increase blood flow to hair follicles.
Millet Extract (10 mg):
Millet extract contains polyunsaturated fatty acids which help nourish the hair and regenerate the scalp. It also contains minerals and a whole variety of amino acids. Proteins in the form of amino acids are required for the biosynthesis of keratin, the essential building block of hair and nails.
