The HairMax LaserComb is a patented and unique device that emits low-power laser onto the scalp in order to reduce hair loss and promote hair growth. In 2007 the 'HairMax Premium' LaserComb was cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), to promote hair growth and treat hair loss. Scientific studies on cell cultures have shown that laser light energy penetrates soft tissue and increases the action of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), a molecule that is a major carrier of energy from one reaction site to another in all living cells.
