Question: What is good for frontal balding and to absolutely regrow hair there? My hair is not too bad and I don’t want to have a hair transplant. Are those photos hair transplants? Or treatments? I am currently on minoxidil which itches really badly. I will be starting Propecia and that only helps 80% of crown which is pretty good. Please help, this is affecting me really badly!
Answer: First of all, Belgravia do not offer hair transplants, though we can recommend a good surgeon for those who need one. So, all of our before and during treatment photographs show patients at the beginning or their medical hair loss treatment plan, and further photographs track their progress on the treatment.
If you have had a bad reaction to minoxidil, this may be because you’re sensitive to the ingredient PPG. Belgravia produce an 8% minoxidil formulation with glycerine, which patients sensitive to PPG find does not make their head itchy. For frontal balding, we recommend our high strength minoxidil cream to be used alongside the 8% solution (the cream is used in the evening and the liquid solution in the morning). Propecia is also useful, as it treats hair loss in a different way to minoxidil by blocking DHT, the hormone that causes hair loss atop the scalp in those with a genetic predisposition.
