Hi Donna.
Thankyou for your comment.
It sounds like you may have traction alopecia; hair loss as a result of excessive tension caused by wearing wigs and hair extensions. It is best if you can come in for a consultation so a hair specialist can diagnose the condition. Please call 020 7730 6666 to book an appointment. If you are unable to come into the clinic, please complete the online registration form on this website and a treatment advisor will make contact with you.

Hi Jane
Thanks for your comment.
Yes, sometimes hair loss is caused by nutritional deficiency (particularly in women). There are several articles about diet-related hair loss on this blog, which can be found by using the search box, just type in 'diet' or 'food'.
However for approximately 1 in 5 women, hair loss is genetic, which is when styling tips and a hair loss treatment programme may help.

Hi. I'm from an afro caribbean background, I have a lot of thin breaking hair especially at the front of my head. My hair refused to grow passed a special length, I'm tired of wearing wigs and hair extentions because my natural hair is just bad. Answer back asap so I know what to do.

Sometimes, simply altering your diet to include healthy foods can decrease the amount of hair loss.
