The Most Common Cause of On-Going Hair Loss

Continued from the story underneath (’An Introduction to Hair Loss’)

… Unfortunately, from what I have experienced from working at the Belgravia Centre, most people who suffer from hair loss come into the same or similar category as Paul. The first question I always get asked when I tell somebody what I do is “Does it work”. And of course the answer’s always the same - yes!

So here’s my theory - the most common reason for on-going hair loss is one thing and one thing only - scepticism. Genetic hair loss may be the most common diagnosis but it doesn’t have to be a problem - the main problem these days is people being unaware or not believing that it can be stopped.

I myself was diagnosed with male pattern hair loss over 3 years ago, but I don’t see it as a problem, or consider myself a victim of this condition, purely because I acted sooner rather that later. When I got to the age of about 20 I’d notice hair all over the pillow in the morning, on the floor of the shower and my hands would fill up with hair every time I applied my wax in the morning. So because I knew what could be done and had seen the kind of results that most people who use Belgravia’s treatments achieve, I didn’t hesitate to begin using treatment. Within about a month the hair shedding had completely stopped, and all it took was about 10 seconds of my time each morning and evening.

Almost four years have gone by and I am still applying treatment daily. Any hair that had been lost was replaced, which you can see in my photo-scans, and the thickness has been maintained until this day. Had I not used treatment I am sure that my hair would be considerably thinner by now, and it wouldn’t be long before I followed in my grandfather’s footsteps and became completely bald.

So 3 out of 4 of the examples I have given are perfectly happy with their outcome! Me and Danny have acted and achieved results, the results being thickening and keeping our hair! Stewart’s lost his hair gracefully and wouldn’t have had it any other way. Paul is the only person who’s lost out - because of his own decision he’s still losing his hair, which is noticeably thinner each time I see him. I’m hoping that one day he’ll give it a go but just hope he makes that decision before it’s too late!

    Hi Cole

Thanks for your comment. I agree that most men (and many women) need to act as early as possible to ensure they keep as much hair as they can and it is sometimes the case that they act too late for various reasons.

It’s a shame to think people feel they have to ‘pluck up the courage’ to speak to someone about their hair loss. It’s a natural thing that most people experience at some point in their lives and seeking help is definitely not something to be worried or embarrased about - we see hundreds of people each week, every one of them experiencing hair loss or a scalp problem, so we’re definitely used to it!

With regard to information on hair loss suitable for the layman; we try our best to provide extensive and understandable information on our website, which I feel is made clear and understandable to everyone who reads. If you have any suggestions for improvement I would definitely welcome them and take note!

It’s a case of knowing what can be achieved - a lot of men leave it too late when they first start to go bald.

By the time many have plucked up the courage to talk to someone about their hair loss it can be too late. There is no cure for baldness, but with the right preventative measures the onset of hair loss can be controlled and slowed down.

Personally speaking, I find there is not enough information for the lamen. The Hair Loss industry does appear to have its critics, but there is where education comes into effect.
