*Upping your spinach intake can stop you from going bald and grey. A study by Cleveland clinic in the US found low iron levels speed up hair loss. “Cells use iron to turn food into energy and it takes a lot of energy to grow hair,” says lead author Dr. Leonid Benjamin Trost. Two separate studies published by Temple University, Philadelphia, and one in the Journal of Health Science found grey hair can be caused by a diet lacking in iron, copper and magnesium.
You can get all these in spinach. One 180g bag of the green stuff will give you 85% of your RDA of magnesium, 35% of your iron and 20% of your copper. Lightly steam it and serve with a squirt of lemon juice. Much tastier than a tube of hair ointment.
