Question: “…once you stop using Minoxidil your hairloss will continue, is that true?”

Name: Lorraine

Question: I have been doing some research on Minoxidil and it states that once you stop using Minoxidil your hairloss will continue, is that true?

Answer: If the hair loss you are experiencing is a continuous condition (Female Pattern Hair Loss) then Minoxidil usage needs to be on-going in order to maintain hair loss stabilisation.  If the condition is a temporary one such as Telogen Effluvium or Diffuse Thinning then it is possible that Minoxidil usage can be stopped once the underlying cause of the hair loss (stress / illness etc.) is dealt with.
