Prince Andrew Changes His Image, But Not His Hair

prince andrew hair loss thinning hairPrince Andrew, the black sheep of the royals, has rebranded himself as a hard working member of the family who neither drinks nor smokes, but does pay his taxes. The ex-trade ambassador had to quit his previous role – that earned him the nickname of Air Miles Andy – after a string of scandals.

The full time working royal, who left the Royal Navy in 2001, had been accused of wasting taxpayers’ money by spending it on chartering private planes and helicopters, whilst also facing scrutiny in the press over allegations that he was making money from his connections with wealthy trading partner.

It’s therefore not surprising that he wishes to change his public image, but as recent photographs show, he might need to consider doing something about his thinning hair, too. The prince looks like he’s experiencing male pattern hair loss, the common genetic condition that can be treated but not cured.

A hair loss treatment programme containing proven medication can halt the prince’s thinning and potentially regrow his hair to a greater density. In order to do this as supposed to just improving the condition of existing hair, a programme would need to contain clinically proven for hair loss medications.

There are only two such medications that have been licensed by the MHRA and approved by the FDA, the UK and US medical regulatory bodies. The first of these, Propecia, would help halt the rate of hair loss atop Andrew’s head by blocking the androgen hormone DHT that causes hair to become thinner by attacking the follicles.

However, should the Prince wish to regrow his thinning hair, a second medication, minoxidil, could also be used. Minoxidil is available in a variety of strengths, and a hair loss specialist would be able to examine Andrew’s hair to determine the optimum daily dosage, potentially including an extra-strength minoxidil cream in his treatment plan.

All Belgravia’s medications and hair growth boosters (which maintain hair and ensure it’s as healthy as possible) can be administered in the comfort of your home in a matter of seconds, so they can easily be included in even the busiest of daily routines.
