Actor Jude Law was photographed last night leaving the charity fundraising gala A Curious Night at the Theatre, in aid of The National Autistic Society and Ambitious about Autism. The famous actor had taken part in a live stage performance of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, and left the theatre with his hair loss on full display.
Dressed in a pale grey suit, the award winning actor looked his usual dapper self, though his grubby trainers seemed to indicate he was a little off-duty. The 40 year old was still content to pose whilst surrounded by the play’s stars, including, Luke Treadaway, along with Coldplay’s Chris Martin and other well known attendees.
The Curious Hairline Incident
Law’s prominent receding hairline seems to become more advanced every time he’s seen out in public (which, admittedly, isn’t very often) so what’s causing his hair to shed in this way? The genetic condition male pattern baldness, which affects 95% of men with excess shedding, cannot be ‘cured’ and will progress continually unless treated, as is happening to Law.
Belgravia have developed a hair loss medication formulation specifically for treating a receding hairline, even when the hair is very thin: extra-strength minoxidil cream. Minoxidil is a hair loss medication that has been licensed by the MHRA and approved by the FDA, and works by stimulating hair growth. Our topical cream can be rubbed into the areas of loss directly, enabling targeted treatment.
Minoxidil works best when used alongside the second and only other proven hair loss medication, Propecia. A once a day tablet, Propecia works by blocking DHT, the powerful androgen hormone that causes follicular miniaturisation atop the scalp, which leads to thinner, weaker hairs being grown, and if left untreated, no hairs at all.
A Long Term Solution
Once areas of the scalp become completely shiny and bald, hair loss can no longer be treated medically. At this point a hair transplant may be appropriate, although in order to maintain hair around the transplant to prevent it from shedding and leaving an unnatural hair pattern, medical treatment must also be maintained.
So, a combination of a hair transplant and a medically proven treatment plan might be Law’s best bet should he wish to prevent further baldness. The above medications combined with a variety of hair growth boosters and regular clinical check-ups to chart progress would ensure that the optimum treatment course was made available to Law to use at home.
