Jessie J managed to raise a high ‘price tag’ after having all her hair – including her famously perfect fringe – cut off for Comic Relief. Speaking before her hair loss, the Do It Like a Dude singer explained her motivation, saying: “Shaving my head is the smallest thing I can do, to give back to those people who need it so much.”
“The Smallest Thing I Can Do”
And now, speaking out for the first time since the night she went bald, Jessie J has spoken about her new life sans hair. Not one to be negative, the singer announced that she found the experience “liberating”. She also embraced her first photo shoot with no hair, explaining that the shots would “forever remind me why in life I must always recognise how I can help those who need it.”
The singer, whose part in the charity proceedings no doubt helped raise part of the total £75,107, 851 that makes up the current Comic Relief 2013 total, stated that she wanted to “do something that wasn’t just for today and wasn’t just for five minutes, it’s going to last a few months”.
A Multi-Million Pound Price Tag
Admitting that she kept touching her head, the award winning vocalist and performer exuded confidence with her new look and told of how it would remind herself and hopefully others “that everyday you should do something good if you can.”
Not only has Jessie J played an important part in raising funds for those in need, she has also doubtlessly been a source of comfort to men and women dealing with hair loss. Whilst J went bald out of choice, for men dealing with the extremely common condition of male pattern hair loss, hair loss is irreversible unless treatment is sought.
When Baldness Isn’t A Choice
Happily, though, a comprehensive hair loss treatment programme that includes at least one of the two medically proven hair loss treatments available gives the vast majority of men the chance to not only halt their hair loss, but to regrow thinning areas to undo the work of powerful androgen DHT, which attacks scalp follicles leading to weaker, wispier hair being produced.
The first medication, Propecia, directly blocks DHT, giving scalp hair follicles the chance to recover and begin to grow thick, healthy hair once more. Often, though, scalp follicles need a boost to enable them to regrow healthy hair, and the second medically approved hair loss medication, minoxidil, comes in handy here. Available in a variety of strengths and including various booster ingredients, our unique minoxidil formulations can be tailored to the exact needs of the client, ensuring a truly comprehensive bespoke service. For men dealing with particularly stubborn areas of hair loss, our high strength minodixil cream has shown hitherto unseen results for regrowth.
The above medications should form the basis of any hair loss treatment plan. Regular check-ups and clinical treatment therapy are then combined with a variety of hair growth boosters to create a hair loss treatment approach that uses every angle possible to regrow hair, whilst ensuring progress is monitored and treatment adapted for optimum results.
