He’s been in the press for his disagreements with fellow actor Alec Baldwin this week, and Shia LaBeouf seemed to be tearing his hair out over his Broadway debut that he’s had to drop out of on account of creative differences.
Such was the actor’s distress that he published several email between himself, Baldwin and director of the play in which LaBeouf was due to star, in which the troubled actor discusses the fact that his father was a drug dealer. At the age of 26, LaBeouf may also have the signs of hair loss onset to address.
Avoid Baldness, Not Just Baldwin
As LaBeouf appeared on the red carpet this week, he was sporting a very short shaved hair style, which was a big change from his previously longer locks. As his hair seemed quite thin on top, it is possible that the actor followed the example of Hollywood greats like Bruce Willis and shaved his hair off to disguise his thinning hair.
As a recent study showed that women find bald men more manly, it’s unlikely LaBeouf’s choice will harm his career if he wants more action roles after his success in the Transformers movie, but should he audition for a role that requires longer hair, he might be in trouble.
Don’t Be Shia
Luckily for LaBeouf, if he’s worried about further shedding, there is a clinically proven solution to thinning hair. Propecia, an oral tablet, can undo the damage caused by the naturally occurring hormone DHT, which attacks hair follicles on top of a man’s scalp, causing hair to gradually thin out. As a DHT blocker, Propecia can prevent further thinning on the scalp, but sometimes hair can need an extra boost to regrow to a greater density.
Transforming Thin Hair
A second medication, and the only other hair loss treatment that is both licensed by the MHRA and approved by the FDA is minoxidil. Especially efficient at regrowing a receding hairline, minoxidil appears to stimulate growth in the hair follicle, and even stubborn areas of hair loss that may have been unresponsive to treatment have a great chance of growing back when The Belgravia Pharmacy’s 12.5% minoxidil cream is used.
The Belgravia Centre treats a great deal of men in their 20’s, which is evident by taking a quick look at the age groups that appear on our before and during treatment photo archives. So it follows that the 26 year old star needn’t panic if he is indeed experiencing the onset of male pattern baldness: he is not alone.
The need for a hair transplant can nearly always be prevented by the timely use of a hair loss treatment programme, which combines the above medications with several hair growth boosters. This comprehensive approach means that not only does LaBeouf have every chance of regrowing his apparent thinning, but also that the regrowth is thick, healthy – and what’s equally important – that it’s a long term solution.
