“I’m 25 with a Receding Hairline and Too Young to Be Old”

HairlossANSWERS - Click to Submit Your Query to Our Hair Loss Experts

Name: Andrew Jackson

Question: I’m a 25-year-old guy, my hairline is starting to recede, and I want to know what my real options are. This hurts me particularly because I have thick, wavy brown hair, and I consider it my best physical feature (it is by far the part of me that I get the most physical compliments on). I’m not wearing a toupee or anything obvious and gross. I’m 25 for God’s sake! I’m too young to be old! Could Provillus help?

Worried My Receding Hairline Will Make Me Look Old When I'm Only 25Answer: Hi, Andrew. Your hair sounds like it’s in pretty good shape overall so you may be catching your receding hairline early on, which is always positive.

If you start following a personalised male hair loss treatment plan to stabilise your shedding and promote regrowth, it is more likely to produce enouraging results now than if you leave it a few years before trying to treat it, given male pattern baldness is a progressive condition.

High strength minoxidil is the most common form of treatment used to address receding hairlines here at Belgravia and has produced many Success Stories for our clients. This is the most stubborn area to treat on the scalp but generally results start to become noticeable from around three to six months after starting your course, assuming you follow it diligently every day, as instructed.

Depending on the precise signs of hair loss you are showing, a specialist is likely to recommend high strength minoxidil, which you apply to your hairline daily, and potentially a daily oral tablet finasteride 1mg as well. You may also benefit from using hair growth boosters which your treatment advisor will be able to talk you through and discuss based on your specific needs.

Provillus offers a liquid which contains 5 per cent minoxidil. In terms of using Provillus tablets, these are a dietary supplement, similar to Belgravia’s Hair Vitalics, which help to improve the hair’s health but do not actually treat hair loss.
