‘How Often Do I Have to Visit Your Hair Loss Clinic for Treatment?’

HairlossANSWERS - Click to Submit Your Query to Our Hair Loss Experts

Name: R

Question: Did you have to go to the centre every week for treatment? If not, then how often?

Many Belgravia Clients Like to Visit For Clinical Therapy TreatmentsAnswer: Hi there. No, you don’t have to visit us every week at all – or even every month!

It is often helpful for clients to visit one of our Central London clinics initially to have a free consultation in which their condition, stage and pattern of hair loss will be assessed by one of our specialists. However, after this first visit it is up to you how often you come in as you can usually take your hair loss treatments home with you that day and have them sent out to you in future, if required.

Alternatively, if you are unable to visit our centres at all – for instance if you live elsewhere in the UK or abroad – you are welcome to use our Home-Use Service. All you need to do is complete an Online Consultation.

Clients who are able to visit either of the Belgravia locations are welcome to take advantage of our quarterly check-up service including photo-monitoring and one-on-one advice with their dedicated advisor, as well as our clinical therapy treatments. Feedback consistently confirms that clients who are based near enough to visit like to come in occasionally to have their questions answered and to see how their regrowth is coming along.

Clinical therapy appointments, which are specially tailored to each individual and can include scalp massage, soothing and nourishing scalp treatments, and LED or laser light therapy. Many clients find them relaxing as well as helpful for improving the condition of their hair and scalp. These sessions last between 45 and 60 minutes each time and can be scheduled for as frequently as requested though clients generally come in monthly or quarterly, often tied in with their check-up visits. We rarely ask clients to come in more than once a month but, we do so if they have a bad scalp condition but even then, this is only if it is convenient.

Being able to compare regrowth results from before and after starting treatment, and view them close up in high quality photos, is something clients always tell us they find helpful. It can be hard to see what is happening otherwise due to the location of their thinning so this is very popular and takes place every three months during check-up appointments.

Hair loss treatments need to be used daily – usually minoxidil is applied to the scalp once or twice (morning and evening) per day, and any Male Pattern Baldness clients taking finasteride 1mg tablets would take one per day – but this is done at home and instructions will be provided. You do not need to visit our hair loss clinics for this although if you ever need a refresher on how to apply minoxidil, your Treatment Advisor will be more than happy to show you any time.
