‘How Many Men Lose Their Hair to Male Pattern Baldness?’

Name: Kenny

Question: How many men lose their hair from male pattern baldness? Do all men get it?

How Many Men Have Male Pattern Baldness?Answer: Hi, Kenny. Not all men are affected, although it is a large majority as genetic hair loss – also known as androgenic alopecia – is the most common hair loss condition in the world.

Researchers believe male pattern hair loss affects a third of all men by the time they reach 30 years old and half of all men by the time they turn 50. This rises in men over the age of 80, with 73.5 per cent visibly balding.

Although all men affected will show some signs of male hair loss, this does not necessarily mean they will ‘lose their hair’ to the condition. Thanks to the boom in options for addressing thinning hair and dealing with a receding hairline, baldness is by no means inevitable.

There are two clinically-proven male hair loss treatments – finasteride 1mg and minoxidil – which form the basis of most of Belgravia’s comprehensive courses to stabilise shedding and promote regrowth.

These are personalised for each individual and can also be used in conjunction with a range of hair growth boosters. A specialist will provide you with a number of tailored recommendations based on your specific needs as determined from your level and pattern of hair loss, as well as your suitability as informed by your medical and lifestyle profiles.

For men who notice they are starting to shed more than usual and want to try to hang on to their hair as long as possible, this is often an effective and convenient solution. You can see for yourself the type of regrowth results many Belgravia clients have experienced in our Male Hair Loss Treatment Success Stories gallery.
