Hello, I was wondering the price of the high strength Minoxidil ? And for a long I long I have to use it ? Thanks

4th November, 2014 at 10:36 am

Sarah Belgravia

Hi Bastien,

The price would depend on the treatment course you need and the duration would depend on the hair loss condition you are using it for. In order to get a more specific answer relevant to your personal condition and stage of hair loss it would be best to make an appointment for a free consultation at one of our Central London hair loss clinics, or if you are based outside of London or the UK, please complete an Online Consultation and one of our specialists will be in touch.

I'm 51 years old woman . Top and back of head thinned alott . In general thinning and snapping . I need help . What's the pill a woman can take and is there any products I can use to stop this hairloss . Thanks .

10th November, 2014 at 4:24 pm

Sarah Belgravia

Hello Dawn,

There is no pill for women's hair loss. If your hair is thinning and snapping we would recommend a comprehensive hair loss treatment plan featuring minoxidil to treat the hair loss and Hair Vitalics to help strengthen your hair and help improve its condition. Please call us on 020 7730 6666 for a free consultation or you can complete our online consultation.

Justin

Hi, I just wanted to find out if you can apply topical spironolactone 2% solution right after you applied minoxidil?

16th July, 2015 at 10:35 am

Sarah Belgravia

Hi Justin,

As we do not provide spironolactone we cannot recommend such a combination. It is best to check with the provider or you can ask whoever recommended you the spironolactone for instructions.

Pearl

Hi I am a 22 year old female and got 3 sessions of Platelet rich Plasma therapy over the last six months. Are Belgravia's minoxidil preparations helpful in conjunction with PRP therapy? Thanks.

21st July, 2015 at 12:56 pm

Sarah Belgravia

Hi Pearl,

This depends on why you are using PRP - we are assuming it is to help with Female Pattern Hair Loss?

There is no solid evidence that PRP helps with female pattern hair loss, however Minoxidil is clinically-proven to treat genetic hair loss in men and women. You can use minoxidil in conjunction with PRP but the PRP is not necessary. To give you an idea of the success many Belgravia clients have experienced from using minoxidil, you can find hundreds of examples of significant regrowth in women from a variety of female hair loss conditions, all treated with minoxidil, in our Success Stories gallery.

hi I have alopecia areata and have had it for almost 5 years now. I have tried many treatments but none actually get rid of it permanently. Year by year the bald patches re-grow but then a new one forms. I have never tried minoxidil but was wondering if I use it will it permanently re-grow all my hair and never will I get any bald patches?

Sarah Belgravia

Hi James, One of Belgravia's hair loss specialists has answered your question in-depth, here.

5th August, 2015 at 1:55 pm

I have thick hair but it always been thin from the front

8th February, 2016 at 3:31 pm

Sarah Belgravia

Hi Hanan,

It is possible to have thinning hair in a specific area, particularly if it is caused by genetic hair loss. Treatment, often featuring high strength minoxidil, is a popular way to deal with this type of shedding so we recommend you speak to a hair loss specialist. They can provide you with a diagnosis of your condition as well as personalised recommendations for hair loss treatments to target this area.

Michael Collins

Hi I have stage 1/2 hair loss would this product have the potential to help the balding at the side of my head

1st April, 2016 at 12:50 pm

Sarah Belgravia

Hi Michael, if you mean a receding hairline then yes, Belgravia offers a range of high strength minoxidil products suitable for this pattern of male hair loss - you can see the types of results obtained by just a few of our clients in the Receding Hairline Treatment Success Stories gallery. If you mean the side of your head rather than the sides of your hairline then this is likely to be Alopecia Areata.

We recommend you have an assessment with one of our hair loss specialist nurses by visiting one of Belgravia's Central London clinics for a free consultation, or by completing an online consultation in order to receive a professional diagnosis of your condition and personally-tailored treatment recommendations.

Betul

Hello, I'm 19/female and I'm from Turkey. I found this web site while I was searching my disease. Doctors said that I have female pattern hair loss. At first, I tried mesotheraphy and PRP 2 years ago. It stopped and re-growed my hair but it is not a permanent solution so 2 months ago another doctor gave me pills and minoxidil.. At the same time, I discover the Aveda and the people who work there said it is natural treatment for hair loss. Therefore, I chose Aveda and I have been using the Aveda products about 3 weeks. As a result, my hair loss has increased so much and I'm very worried about this condition. Because of I live in a different country, can you give me any advice? Can I order your high strength minoxidil or the minoxidil that I can get at the pharmacy is enough?

17th June, 2016 at 2:25 pm

Sarah Belgravia

Hi Betul, unfortunately we cannot send our treatments to Turkey at present but this response from one of our senior hair loss specialists should prove helpful.

Damien

Hi there I'm a 36 year old man from Ireland. I started using regaine extra strength last month. I use a little less than one capful a day 'so I'm not over doing it'. I almost immediately noticed that my facial skin feels tight and dry and that under my eyes have become darker. I checked out online to see if others have had the same experience and I discovered countless people are saying the same thing. That minoxidil ages the skin, causes bags under the eyes and dark rings under the eyes etc. I am now in a real dilemma as although Rogaine does not list any of these symptoms as side affects, it seems to be happening to me and many other people have had terrible experiences after prolonged use and say it's aged them drastically. Can you give me some advice? Is it true that minoxidil reduces collagen production? Help please

Joe

Hi, I have receding hair on the temple area on both sides where it joins up. I believe it has always been very thin there from a young age, likely genetic but it's receded a little more with haircuts over the years I suspect. My question is, if it is a genetic trait, would it still be possible to develop some hair growth in these areas? It's not severely receded but an inch or so further forward would be great-- in your experience, would your treatment be effective in such scenarios? If so, what treatment would you recommend? Thank you in advance

30th August, 2016 at 9:45 am

Sarah Belgravia

Hi Damien, you may find this information helpful. However, we would recommend you contact the Regaine helpline for further advice on the specific product you are using and to get their recommendations.

30th August, 2016 at 2:42 pm

Sarah Belgravia

Hi Joe, without seeing your exact pattern and level of hair loss it is hard to tell from what you say here although it does sound as if you have a widow's peak. However, we recommend you have a look at our http://www.belgraviacentre.com/success-stories/#2530,2551 as this will give you an idea of the types of results our treatment courses can achieve for different patterns and levels of shedding, as well as the timeframe it took each individual to see the regrowth results pictured. Belgravia clients with a receding hairline tend to use personalised male hair loss treatment courses featuring recommended high strength minoxidil solutions from the range we stock at our in-clinic pharmacies, alongside hair growth boosters. This is particularly effective on stubborn areas of hairloss such as around the temples. For personalised advice and treatment recommendations we would advise you to book a free hair loss consultation at one of our clinics in the City or Central London, or if you live outside London or abroad you can complete this Online Consultation instead.

Robin

Hello! There, my hair line is receding day by day and having a lot of dandruff I have already consulted with the doctor and in blood, test it is found that I'm having high DHT level but no result have been seen after the treatment I won't be able to come there please suggest me what should I do to fix this problem.

9th January, 2017 at 4:34 pm

Sarah Belgravia

Hi Robin, you don't mention how long you have been using treatment for and, as you are not a Belgravia client, we have no record of this. It can take three to six months for signs of progress to become noticeable but it also depends if the treatment you are taking is appropriate for your receding hairline. We recommend you have an online consultation which is free of charge and may help to put your mind at rest as well as providing you with personalised receding hairline treatment recommendations that can be sent to you without visiting our London hair loss clinics.

Bill

I want to try minoxidil for my receding hairline, but it seems every over the counter product irritates my scalp. Does your products have less of these side effects?

17th January, 2017 at 5:41 pm

Sarah Belgravia

Hi Bill, we will send you more information on this to the email address you supplied. There are various options that may suit you if you have a sensitive scalp but do also ensure you are not over-using the products you have tried. Doing so will not increase the drug's efficiency but may produce a reaction on your skin.
