I shaved my head on Easter day last year, (2009), and decided to keep it. My VBF has nagged at me to grow it again, but I have resisted. Being bald is so comfortable. It is really ME.

I have always been an eye catching person, I did keep my hair very very short..now that I am undergoing Chemo treatments, my hair thinned out, but not completely so I said the heck with this, and shaved it, I LOVE IT! I do have very big eyes and it just makes me look even more attractive! Even after my treatments are done..I will continue to sport the bald style…LOVE IT!

I have voluntarily shaved my head. That which I lost from my head, I have made up for in confidence. Before shaving, I was a wilting wallflower, now I have blossomed.

I think all the above women mentioned are very attractive, strong women. For whatever reason their hair loss, they deal with it and have to move on otherwise as a woman it can destroy you. I’ve been there. Thanks for reading.

The loss of my hair was due to the unbearable stress I was put under of the gross negligence of a dirty hospital to my dad (now deceased). Every day my hair loss is an issue. I am getting better but I couldn’t walk around with no wig, as uncomfortable and hot as they may be. I wear tatoo eyebrows and now again I have false eyelashes. I’m blonde and stay blonde. I vary wig length between short and long but on the national health you don’t get the right person to help you with what you want. I’m not in a position to buy my own and human hair are better. Doctors are uncaring, I found. Anyway, Gail, you look lovely, small nice ears and I’ve noticed now how big mine are. Thanks x x

Thanks for mentioning Persis Khambatta. Most other articles on this subject overlook her, maybe because they want to overlook Star Trek, who knows… I, personally, admired her for shaving her head for the part.
