I have had trouble for the past 3years. I have always had nickel size spots 1 or 2 and the hair grows back on its own. I recently have a couple of more spots and they are larger. I have read that blood test are required to properly dianose the disorder due to the hair loss could be a result of someother disorder. I am 26 and have never had any problems before.

Blood tests are not required to diagnose Alopecia Areata. There are certain similar uncommon conditions that require a blood test if Areata is not diagnosed but it is most likely the condition is Alopecia Areata. I would advise you visit the centre for a consultation so that we can diagnose your condition and recommend a suitable course of treatment if applicable.
